Grant Cardone: 10X Your Business, Income & Life.
“Your greatness is limited only by the investments you make in yourself” – Grant Cardone.
Grant Cardone is a world-renowned sales expert, New York Times best selling author, real estate mogul, and top social media influencer. Grant’s primary venture is Cardone Training Technologies, which helps companies grow sales by customising their sales processes to be more effective. He also owns and operates Cardone University, Cardone Acquisitions, Cardone Capital and Grant Cardone TV Network.
Grant had a rocky start to life, losing his father at a young age and struggling with addiction. Today, Grant has built a real estate business alone that has well over $1billion in assets, and his sales training has more that 50,000,000 customers.
I’ve followed Grant Cardone’s work for years, and so when Success Resources Australia announced he was going to feature on their podcast, I knew it was an episode not to be missed. Grant shares his rules for success and exactly what you need to do to thrive in business. Here are some of the key lessons and learnings I took away from the interview:
During the interview, Grant Cardone spoke to his experience of starting his first business at 29 years old. He went from making $100k per year as an employee to $30k per year as a business owner. Grant started his sales business by knocking on doors and cold calling hundreds and thousands of people. He documented what worked and took note of what didn’t work. Grant says the best way to learn is to do, and to keep doing it until it works.
We often hear people say that time or money is our most valuable asset. Grant Cardone says that our most powerful commodity is our connections. When you build up a good network of connections, doors open, things become possible, we get more traction and in turn, more opportunities present themselves. Get into proximity with powerful people.
During the interview, Grant shared his view on decision-making. The speed at which you can make decisions is the speed at which you can make money. Grant’s view is “if we should do it, we should do it now.” Learn to make decisions quickly, otherwise take it off the table completely. There should be no room for maybe – maybes are what kill a business.
Unlike many entrepreneurs, Grant does not learn from failure. He learns from success. Grant says that if you learn from failure in money or real estate, you will go broke. In the interview, Grant talks to how he learns from success. Success breeds success. The more success you have, the more success you can create.
During the interview, Grant talks to how the rich get their information from the rich, and the poor get their information from the poor. When someone gets super successful or super wealthy, they often close the curtains, and have the view “ok, no one gets to see this now.” Grant made a commitment to keep the curtains open, and this speaks to how he has now become the no.1 sales trainer in the world. Get your knowledge and information from the right people.
One of the things that stood out the most to me throughout the episode was about how relentless Grant is about dreaming big and setting your mind to 10X what your current goals and dreams are. If you want to hear more about how to achieve 10X success, I highly recommend your download the podcast episode with Grant Cardone now. You can listen to the episode with Grant here.
The 10X Rule: You must set targets for yourself that are 10X more than what you think you want and then take 10X the action you think is required to get there.
Absolutely! Thank you so much for sharing.
