It was a real privilege to recently speak with Sally Bruce on The Boss in Heels Podcast. From growing up in a country town of just 1,500 people and the youngest of six children, Sally Bruce’s meteoric rise in the financial sector began when she was 17 years old, working at Macquarie Bank while studying at uni. Sally very quickly found herself in leadership positions, which led her to become the CEO and Managing Director of AMP Bank, where, under her leadership, the bank doubled profits and had a profound cultural shift.
Sally stepped down as CEO to spend more time with her family but was quickly head hunted to her current role as CFO and COO at Culture Amp, a billion-dollar employee engagement tech company.
In this episode, Sally and I discuss:
How your authenticity is your superpower.
How to create a work/life balance.
The tools you need to develop to become a successful CEO.
The growth mindset Sally lives by.
The benefits of crowdsourcing wisdom.
