Lucy Kough is a former advertising Creative Director and founder of Tap the Gap – a new Australian fintech platform and App that turns everyday spending into superannuation.
The idea is simple: your morning coffee, online shopping or everyday purchases can generate cashback that goes directly into your super. You can also round up purchases and put the difference towards retirement, or gift contributions to another woman’s super.
And Lucy’s reason for building is deeply personal. Her mum spent almost 50 years working as a primary school teacher, helping build other people’s futures, yet retired with very little super of her own.
Lucy saw first-hand how the way women work, take career breaks, care for families and earn across their lives can leave them financially behind long after the gender pay gap has disappeared from the headlines.
